In the 21st Century, fiction can move at the speed of thought. Nowhere is this more true than with the practitioners of the growing movement of Flash Fiction. Writer’s Block sat down with noted UK author, Susi “SJI” Holliday, (whose fiction has been featured in the Global Short Stories competition as well as on the 5 Minute Fiction website) and discussed the implications of this growing genre along with her writing inspiration and the differences about getting published internationally vs. the United States.
From the Author’s Website: Susi ‘SJI’ Holliday is a writer of quirky short stories, flash fiction and partially completed novels. Originally from somewhere near Edinburgh, she now resides somewhere near London where she crunches numbers by day and writes as much as possible at night, except when watching Eastenders. If you Google her under her pen name you will be asked if you meant to search for a ski holiday.

Thanks for this introduction to the works of an author who is a part of the trend in “shorts” or “flash” fiction. I suppose there is a need these days for shorter pieces for people who have the TV modern-age attention spand or the person who has srinking time available for the written word. Now they too can enjoy a good written story. This was a good information piece.
